If it isn´t fun, we aren´t interested!

Who We Are

Our members love pickle relish on their hot dogs and cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving. We miss the Fourth of July and Halloween.  And we miss talking with other Americans in person as we live abroad.

That´s why in the American Society we have been celebrating traditions since 1951. In addition to celebrating American events we also hold receptions at the U.S. Ambassador´s residence and explore the nooks and crannies of El Salvador through group trips.

In addition to celebrating and exploring together we work with our members, donors, and Corporate Sponsors to raise funds for scholarships for Salvadoran children.

We also partner with other organizations on events, including the U.S. Embassy, FEPADE, the Union Church of San Salvador, and the Peace Corps.
